Rapid Progression....Guaranteed!

Norway - Steep Creeking

Challenge yourself with some of Europe's best creeking.

Norway is one of the most visually stunning countries in the world, full stop. The western fjords, from where the Norse sailed forth to plunder Northern England will leave you speechless and the central mountains of the Oppland have a poetic majesty.

Add to this some of the world’s best and most accessible white water and you have the recipe for an exceptional experience.

We'll help you develop your ability to deal with steep and complex sections, along with developing key creeking skills, such as Boofing. We'll look at reading and understanding the river and it's features. We'll look at developing your understanding of group dynamic and give you a pathway to progression.

Here’s a sample programme:

Day one: Arrive at Otta. We’ll pick you up and whisk you to Sjoa where you’ll be able to relax and meet the rest of the crew.

Day two: We’ll establish aims and objectives, before going for a shakedown paddle to blow away the cobwebs.

Day three: A look at practical river safety solutions.

Day four: Time to head to one of the local steeper runs to focus on developing your core creeking skills.

Day five: Time to focus on developing safe group strategies in advanced situations.

Day six: A bit of an away day, as we head further afield to see more of what Oppland has to offer.

Day seven: Final paddle to put all of the concepts we’ve covered into practice on one of the local steeper runs, as well as bag some nice pics and video!

Day eight: Depart for Otta.
